Govt making all efforts to address problems of Thari people: Chandio

TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: Advisor to Chief Minster Sindh on Information, Moula Bux Chandio has said that Sindh government was making all out efforts to resolve the problems of people living in Thar.

Talking to media here the Advisor said Sindh government was not responsible for the present crisis in Thar, but said there were other issues responsible for such a situation including under age marriages.

He alleged that it is unfortunate that the people who never had in Thar were talking on the issue, adding that we are working for the welfare of Thari people and meeting them frequently to adress their difficulties.

There were same facilities available at Mithi Hospital as have in other hospitals, he said adding maximum medical facilities were being provided to the people at their door step.

Lashing out at those forming alliance against PPP, he said that in the past too, these elements formed many alliances, but people have always rejected them and gave mandate to PPP.

Due to sacrifices made by PPP leadership, the democracy is flourishing in the country, he added. The law and order has been restored here because of ongoing operation, he said.

Reply to an other question, he said that power would be transferred to local government representatives as per law and constitution.

We are not opposing to give power to local government but where it needed we would give, he said.
