ISLAMABAD: Chairman Board of Investment Miftah Ismail has said that implementation on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan India (TAPI) Gas pipeline would usher in an era of development in the country.

He expressed the hope electricity shortage will be overcome by next year, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.

Pakistan possesses the fifth largest coal and copper reserves, he added.

Miftah said that if exploited optimally, these reserves can turn around the national economy.
