Bilawal for early completion of police emergency response system

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the establishment of Police Emergency Response Centre 911 should be completed on war footing basis.

This he said while visiting the SSU Headquarters alongwith Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and IGP Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali here, according to a press release issued here on Saturday.

He visited various sections of the SSU Headquarters and met the officers, commandos and enquired about the professional training with regards to crack down on activities of militants and criminal elements.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated the Benazir Bhutto Conference and Intelligence Centre set up in the Special Security Unit.

He reviewed the plan of Security Vision 2020 and directed that Promise of Peace should be completed without any delay in order to ensure protection of lives and properties of the public.

AIGP Security Maqsood Ahmed briefed about the working of officers and commandos with regard to providing professional training to them.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the standard of the officers and the commandos being in line with ISO certification.

He said the government is utilising all possible resources to ensure peace in the province so that effective crack down could be ensured against terrorists and criminals.
