Foreign exchange reserves cross $21 billion: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that foreign exchange reserves for the first time have increased to more than twenty one billion dollars.

In an interview, he said the government wants to bring the non-filers into tax net and soon a package would be announced for them. He urged the non-filers to come under the tax net and contribute in the economic prosperity of the country.

He said the government wants credible strategic partners for only twenty six per cent core business of Pakistan International Airlines. He said that the step is aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing the business of the national airline making it a profit earning entity.

He said the government allocated one hundred billion rupees for Zarb-e-Azb in the current year budget and rehabilitation of the people of the area affected by the operation.
