Who will win ‘2016 Car of the Year’?

The most coveted award in car industry is back with some serious contenders and some of the older machines. The award which will be handed out at Geneva Auto Show in February 2016 can be given to any contender. Panel of jury, comprising of 58 members from around the world, will have some tough decisions to make. Here are seven most likely machines who might be taking the award home.

Audi A4, the German car is making leaps in car industry. Even though Audi A4 of 2017 is much hyped about in Audi series, it is the existing car that is gearing up for an award of 2016.

For the first time BMW integrated a tablet feature in its car, BMW 7 series, along with host of other functions native to BMW. It radiates a natural and authoritative appearances from the word go.

Jaguar XE is the sexiest cat prowling about. Boasting of advanced and up to date features, XE is an eight speed automatic with standard rear wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive. The current king of jungle is one the highest contender for the title.

A car that is getting known for its driving bliss is Mazda MX-5 Miata. The two-seater is in for serious contention but who knows whether it will turn at the end in awards as it does in real drive; perhaps too elegantly.

Opel/Vauhall Astra has gained the slogan ‘Half evolutionary, half revolutionary’. It is being termed as Opel’s resurgence in Europe. It looks like Astra has put Opel back in ‘lucrative compact segment’.

The third generation Skoda Superb is one of the most talked about car of late. The expansion in interior has bought the company back in contention for top spot.

An all in all family car, with luxurious interior and most kid friendly, Volvo XC90 is the most likely winner of the coveted award. The latest rover type car boasts of space and luxury in one package to keep ahead of its rivals.
