ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday announced to hold Local Government Elections in Sanghar District on December 17, except those affected Local Councils where delimitation process has been done afresh in the light of the High Court and Supreme Courts orders.

The elections would be conducted in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under Article 218 (3) of the Constitution of Pakistan , sub-section (1) of Section 34 of the Sindh Local Government Act, 2013 read with sub-rule (1) of Rule 12 of the Sindh Local Councils (Election) Rules 2015, said a notification issued here.

Polling time will be from 7:30 to 17:30.It is pertinent to mention here that the election in District Sanghar was postponed due to the law and order situation.
