Quetta, Sialkot win Special Football titles

PESHAWAR: Quetta and Sialkot claimed male and female titles of the Special Football Tournament organized jointly by Special Olympic Pakistan and Malik Saad Sports Trust here on Tuesday.

In the two-day event, the female football final was won by Sialkot after defeating Islamabad while Karachi and Lahore got third and fourth position respectively.

In the male Unified Division-I final Quetta defeated Islamabad while Peshawar got third position while in the Unified Male Division-II Lahore beat Karachi and in the Male Division-I Quetta recorded victory while Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Jhelum stood second while Islamabad remained at third.

In the Male Division-II final Lahore got first position while Peshawar and Karachi got second and third positions respectively. In the Male Division-III Sialkot got first position, followed by Gilgit-Baltistan.

At the end, Director Sports Tariq Mehmood who was the chief guest on this occasion gave away the trophies, medals and certificates.

Tariq Mehmood lauded the efforts being put in for involving special children in healthy activities. He also appreciated the organizers for organizing the event.
