BISP taking care of 5.15 million women: Marvi Memon

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon has said that the programme is taking care of about 5.15 million women.

Speaking at a function in Lahore, she said efforts are being made to empower and educate women for development of the country.

She said the programme is one of the five biggest social security networks in the world. It will help alleviate poverty and ensure equity among all provinces.

She said the government believes in promoting regional languages, which provide a binding force for national integration.
