Special winter train from Rawalpindi to Quetta on Dec 15

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Railway will run a special winter train from Rawalpindi to Quetta on December 15.

The train would be on track till February 15 to facilitate the passengers, Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railway Abdul Malik said while talking to APP here Sunday.

Malik said that almost 550 passengers would travel by the special train adding that the train would leave from Rawalpindi to Quetta once in a week.

He informed that Rawalpindi Railway station is being renovated and every effort is being made to upgrade the services for the travellers.

The DS said Railways is the cheapest mode of travelling for the people of any class claiming that trains are running on time.

He appreciated the efforts of Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique for making the department a profitable organization within a short span.

He said the minister has introduced restructuring and transparent mechanism in every department and promoted honest officials to make it a financially sound entity.
