Mexico current account deficit widens in third quarter

MEXICO CITY: Mexico's current account deficit reached $8.856 billion in the third quarter, the central bank said on Wednesday, widening from a revised $7.561 billion in the second quarter.

The accumulated current account deficit for the year was the equivalent of 2.9 percent of gross domestic product, the central bank said.
