Commissioner assures KCCI of resolving trade, industry issues

KARACHI : Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has emphasized on strong liaison between the business community and the concerned government organisations/institutions for resolution of the businessmen's issues and for providing betterfacilities to trade and industry in the city.

During his interactive session at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry with KCCI members here on Saturday, the Commissioner said the government was trying its best to resolve the problems facing trade and industry, said an official statement here on Sunday.

He informed that for ensuring strong linkage with the business community , a helpline on (1299) was being set up at the Commissioner House.

He urged the concerned government organisations to play their due role in providing facilities to traders and industrialists of the city.

This would encourage trade and industrial activities, which would ultimately contribute towards economic prosperity of the country.

President KCCI , Younas M. Bashir and Chairman, Businessmen Group (BMG), former president KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli and other office bearers and members of the Chamber were present. Besides all Deputy Commissioners of Karachi, senior officers of the concerned government organisations i.e. Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) and DMCs were present.

The Commissioner said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had directed him to resolve the issues of trade and industry in the city.
