PM visits girls school, announces upgradation

KHANEWAL: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Saturday visited a girls secondary school in Shamkot village and announced its upgradation to the higher secondary school.

The Prime Minister paid a surprise visit to the school on his way to Multan after performing inauguration of 56 kilometre Khanewal-Multan (M4) section of Motorway earlier in the day.

Accompanied by the staff and officials, he took round of various sections of the school and inquired about the issues.

The Prime Minister also announced establishment of an information technology laboratory in the school and assured that the institution would be upgraded to the level of degree college with the passage of time.

The students were overwhelmed to find the Prime Minister amongst them and they welcomed him by clapping their hands.

The Prime Minister also joined them in raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans.

Later, the Prime Minister also drove a vehicle from Shamkot interchange to Vehari road interchange, covering a distance of 38 kilometres.
