Pak-Russia Investment Forum to be held on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: The First Pakistan-Russia Investment Forum will be held on Thursday (November 19) to further promote bilateral trade and investment relations between both the countries.

The main objective of the event was to enhance bilateral trade and investment cooperation between two countries, besides introducing the Russian investors with local trade and investment opportunities existing in different sectors of national economy.

The prominent businessmen from Russia belonging to different sectors of economy would attend the forum to enhance bilateral collaborations and cementing the existing trade ties.

Business to business meeting would also be organized in the sidelines of the event in which Russian investors would explore the opportunities for joint ventures and investments.

The investors from other sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical and infrastructure development would also attend the event.

The local investors and representatives of different trade bodies, chambers of commerce and Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry would also participate in the event to find scope for enhancing bilateral trade and investment.

It may be recalled that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Russia was currently stood around $500 million which could be increased by enhancing agricultural products.

There was a vast scope for the exports of Pakistan's agriculture products including mangos, kinnow, potato and other horticulture products.
