According to local media report Bhatt said, “I’ve been meeting some TV actors of Pakistan to select a cast, but it’s shocking how actors are reluctant to do a Punjabi film”.

About his Punjabi co-production, he would hold meetings with TV and movies artistes in Lahore. Though he didn’t mention the names, he said he had contacted a few senior TV artistes to cast them in the film; however they were unwilling to play in a Punjabi movie.

He said film actress Meera called and asked him for any role in any of his films, however he did not have any role to offer her right now. He said he would consider Meera’s request in the future, local media reported.

Reportedly, Indian Punjab film producer Vinay Bhardwaj and Indian movie screenwriter Shagufta Rafique were also present at the movie premiere of ‘Jawani Phir nahi Aani’. Film’s original cast also attended the premier including Ismail Tara, Bushra Ansari, Javed Sheikh, Mehwish Hayat, Ayesha Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmed Ali Butt, Humayun Saeed and ‘Humsafar’ star Fawad Khan and many others.
