Four killed, four injured in city violence

KARACHI: Four people, including two traffic policemen, were killed and four others injured in separate firing incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.

Two traffic police personnel, Nizamuddin and Shair Muhammad, were killed by unknown gunmen near Sunday Bazaar, Metro Shopping in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsies.

In another firing incident, a man, Muhammad Farooq, 45, was killed and two others, Muhammad Ismail, 65, and his son, Muhammad Haroon, injured by unknown gunmen near Qudsia Masjid, Bismillah General Store in Nazimabad No. 2. The bodies and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

A man, aged about 25, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Mewa Afghan Morr. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

In another firing incident, two men were inured by dacoits when they offered resistance to them during a robbery bid in Firdous Market in Liaquatabad. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
