United Business Group kicks off its campaign for federation and regional chambers elections

ISLAMABAD: The United Business Group (UBG) led by its patron in chief S.M Muneer and Chairman Inftikhar Malik have started campaign for the elections of federation and regional chambers across the country.

In this connection, as part of the drive in first phase, the UBG delegation visited regional chambers of Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Veahari, Khaniwal, Multan and Faisalabad and discussed matters relating to the elections with special reference to the nominations of the candidates for Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and their respective chambers, Iftikhar Ali Malik Chairman of the UBG told APP here Wednesday.

He said that UBS had decided that priority would be given to the young business leaders with leadership qualities who were credible, man of character with no record of default of any financial institution and possessing registered National Tax Number and paying their due taxes to national exchequer regularly.

The Chairman UBS reiterated that business bodies would be taken into confidence while taking into consideration the nominations for FPCCI and regional chambers.

The delegation, he said also vowed to work for the welfare and betterment of the business community and serve them efficiently.

Those included in the delegation were, S.M Muneer CEO TDAP, President FPCCI Mohammad Idrees, Infikhar A Malik Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,Malik Sohail Khan Chairman Diplomatic Committee of the FPCCI, Vice President FPCCI Akhtar Hameed Chada, Ex Presidents ICCI Zafar Baktawari Abdul Rauf and Zubair Tufail.
