An official in the Ministry of Railways told APP that 65 percent railways level crossings were un-manned across the country which were needed to be constructed to avoid any untoward incident.

He said that in the past railways level crossing had been constructed on political basis.

To construct the un-manned level crossing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has committed to allocate Rs. 150 million but response from Sindh and Balochistan provinces was still awaited, he added.

He said the Ministry requested all the provinces to cooperate on the matter so that within limited time all the un-manned level crossing could be constructed.
