Former President Paid glowing tributes to Abdullah Hussain

ISLAMABAD: Former President Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari has condoled the death of renowned writer and intellectual Abdullah Hussain who passed away on Saturday in Lahore after protracted illness.

Former President in his condolence message said that he was shocked and grieved over the death of Abdullah Hussain who was a distinguished novelist and a towering character in literature.

Abdullah Hussain novel Udas Naslain is regarded as bible of Urdu literature and his writings illuminated Urdu literature. His books were translated in several languages and are part of curriculum in several universities all around the world.

His intellect was unmatched and his connect with the common people was immense. He will be missed by literary circles all over the world especially Pakistan.

Asif Ali Zardari prayed to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal peace and strength and fortitude to family and friends to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
