A KWSB statement said that there was power outage for about two hours on Friday. After this, water supply started from 10 pumps and there was shortage of six million gallons of water.
Similarly, there have been power breakdowns at Sakhi Hassan Pumping Station for the past several days which is resulting in water shortage in the areas concerned.
The free `awami' tanker service through hydrants was also affected, the KWSB statement added.
