New lines being laid to resolve electricity crisis: Minister

MULTAN: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali Tuesday said that 1,100 kilometer transmission lines were being laid to resolve electricity crisis.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said that 93 grid stations were also being established, adding that the government was striving hard to eliminate electricity crisis and put the country on road to progress and prosperity.

To a question, he said that PTI could not provide any proof in judicial commission, adding that PTI leader Imran Khan was doing politics of confrontation.

To another question, the minister said that it was top priority of the government to ensure peace in Karachi, adding that in this regard an operation was also being conducted against criminals in the city.

He also ruled out any chance of imposition of Governor's rule in Sindh.
