The meeting was attended besides others by Acting Deputy Commissioner, all assistant commissioners, presidents of bazaar unions, owners of all backers associations and butchers associations office bearers besides officials of the district administration.
The meeting reviewed prices of the daily use items and directed the ACs and other officials of the district administration to pay regular visit to bazaars and check prices of daily use items including sugar, vegetables, drinks, flour, rice, tea, meat etc.
The ACs have been directed to submit report of daily use items on daily basis as black-marketing and profiteering would not be accepted during Ramzan. The shopkeepers found guilty of not displaying price list should be dealt with iron hands.
