BANNU: Jumaat e Islami (JI), a partner with Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf in the ruling coalition in Khyber Pakthunkhwa, has made it clear on the Imran Khan that re-elections of the Local Government was not a cricket match as it involved huge financial implications which the KP province can't afford.

Provincial Ameer of JI Professor Muhammad Abrahim and District Ameer JI Bannu Dr Nasir Khan said this while addressing a party workers convention here on Monday. They said JI was ready for re-polling in union councils where rigging allegations were reported and not in the whole province. They said due to financial condition of the province, re election was not a good option.

They suggested that Chief Election Commissioner should visit Peshawar and removed the grievances of the candidates who have leveled rigging allegations in their constituencies. They claimed that except JI, rest all parties were involved in rigging, adding that political entities involved in misconduct during elections should punished accordingly.

The JI leaders said his party was ready to hold talks with tripartite alliance leaders as negotiations with the only option to address the problems.
