Nisar appreciates Army, Rangers performance for peaceful GB polls

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday appreciated the performance of Pakistan Army, Rangers, Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts and police for ensuring peaceful elections in Gilgit Baltistan.

The minister, in a statement here, said holding of peaceful elections was evidence of a better strategy and coordination among security institutions.

He paid tribute to the people of Gilgit Baltistan for their cooperation with law enforcement institutions and sense of responsibility.

He said it was proved that if a coordinated security policy was adopted then major elections could be held peacefully.
