KPK govt allocates Rs1bn for Muree Road widening

ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtonkhawa (KPK) Government has allocated Rs. one billion for widening of Muree road from Abbottabad to Harnoi.

This was stated by Khyber Pakhtunkhawa minister of Food Qalandar Khan Lodhi on Monday during a media talk.

He said that provincial government has approved two bypasses for abbottabad and two interchanges from Hazara motorway to Abbottabad city and Qalandar Abad.

Similarly he said that during the last Annual Development Programs of KPK 22 kilometer Khatana Gali Gramri road worth Rs. 220 million is under construction, work on Tanawal Girls Degree College worth Rs.520 million is also in progress and it would be completed during next fiscal year.

Several schemes of irrigation water supply with the cost of Rs. 80 million have also been completed during the current fiscal year, he added.

Qalandar Khan Lodhi said that for the next fiscal year of 2015-16 along with other developmental projects and schemes he has submitted a proposal of 20 kilometer long Gulban to Totni road project which will connect almost all villages of Tanawal circle with Abbottabad and Mansehra , up gradation of waters supply source and construction of many connecting links in the hilly areas of his constituency.
