The president shaked hands with all players and staff one by one while the skippers, Shahid Afridi and Elton Chigumbora, introduced their teams.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shehryar Khan and Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashood were also present.
Later, national anthems of both countries were played in a capacity packed stadium.
