LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Monday directed the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) to maintain status quo on a Rs 40 million contract for procurement of dampers and other material from a Turkish company for a 500KV transmission line from Neelum-Jhelum Hydro Project to Domeli.

The court also directed a deputy attorney general and standing counsel to ensure representation of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) on next date of hearing (May 15).

Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan passed the orders while hearing a petition filed by Messrs Mosdorfer of Austria, one of the bidding participants, challenging the contract awarded to Turkish company SA-RA.
