ICCI expresses solidarity with rain victims

ISLAMABAD: Local business community in a meeting at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Monday expressed condolences with the bereaved families whose relatives lost thier lives during the mini-cyclonic.

During torrential rains in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunwava on Sunday which killed about 44 people and wounded more than 200 persons including women and children.

President, ICCI,Muzzamil Hussain Sabri said that the whole nation stands with the victim families in this hour of great tragedy and prays that may Allah the Almighty keep the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with patience, according to statement issued.

He said the mini-cyclone have caused great losses to the people as many houses have collapsed and crops have been damaged.
