Govt taking steps for facilitating masses

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that it was the responsibility of concerned institutions to ensure sale of quality essential items at fixed rates.

Addressing the meeting of Provincial Price Control Committee at Civil Secretariat through video link here on Saturday, he said that due to the steps of Punjab government for reducing ghee prices, not only people of Punjab but the entire Pakistan were benefiting and as a result of timely steps of Punjab government, people were getting relief.

The chief minister said that reduction in prices of ghee and cooking oil was another people-friendly step of Punjab government and the visits of provincial ministers, secretaries and concerned officials to markets and bazaars have proved useful.

He directed that the visits should be continued for public interest. Provincial Ministers submitted reports about their visits to various districts during the meeting.
