Marvi Memon inspects BISP divisional office

MULTAN: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon inspected BISP Multan divisional office and directed the staffers to expedite social mobilization process further to provide timely relief to the beneficiaries.

During her visit, she inspected computer section, complaints register and other sections of the office.

She expressed astonishment over low number of complaints registered with the office during last four years as there were 1100 complaints only.

She directed the staff to maintain complaint register properly.

Director BISP Multan Division Shiekh Noor Muhammad briefed the chairperson Marvi Memon about the services being extended to the beneficiaries by the department in Multan division.

A large number of beneficiaries women were also present in the office.

Addressing on the occasion, Marvi Memon said that she was visiting tehsil offices in the province on the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

She added that steps were being taken for bringing further improvement in the BISP.

She also inquired beneficiaries about their problems, however, women expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.

Assistant director BISP Tehsil Sadar Sadia Fatima talking to APP informed that a total of 481,162 beneficiaries were in Multan division. Marvi informed that beneficiaries were being facilitated through smart card, debut card and Pakistan post.

Sadia Fatima also informed that they had launched life insurance programme for the beneficiaries.
