The Real Madrid star struck ball directly into a child’s face but made up for it in the best possible way. Ronaldo spotted the child after the fact and raced over to make sure that the youngster got his shirt as a consolation for being on the wrong end of a Ronaldo free-kick, foreign media reported.

After making a point to remember who the boy was, Ronaldo finished off his preparations before he headed over to the kid and handed him his Los Blancos jersey – much to the amazement of the child who couldn’t help but shed a tear at the sweet gesture.

Ronaldo made his international debut for Portugal in August 2003, at the age of 18. He has since been capped over 100 times and has participated in 6 major tournaments. Ronaldo is the first Portuguese player to reach 50 international goals, making him Portugal’s top goal scorer of all time as well as the country's top scorer in the European Championship with 6 goals.
