Rangers arrest two for casting bogus votes during NA-246 By-polls

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers officials deployed at Dehli School, Block 14, Federal- B. Area apprehended a presiding officer, Syed Majid Ali trying to cast bogus votes in one of the polling stations during the ongoing by-polls in NA-246 constituency.

Another person Rehan Ahmed impersonating as presiding officer and attempting to cast fake votes has also been arrested from the same school, said the spokesman of Sindh Rangers on Thursday afternoon.

In a statement issued to media Rangers said, exercising their magisterial powers they imposed a fine of Rs 5000 and awarded a three- month imprisonment to Majid Ali.

Whereas Rehan Ahmed has been handed six month jail sentence and Rs 5000 fine.
