Four govt officers detained for 90 days

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh on Thursday produced four government officers before Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) and informed it about their 90-day preventive detention for interrogation about their allegedly involvement in land grabbing and china cutting .


The personnel of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, along with their counsel produced the Director land Najam-uz-Zaman, KMC recovery officer Abdul Qawi, Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Anwar Farooqi and informed the court that the accused were picked up on the indication of former ABAD chairman Babar Chughtai.


According to rangers, they had credible information that suspects were involved in land grabbing and china cutting of plots in the metropolis. The detainees will be placed under preventive detention for three months for further questioning under Section 11EEEE (1) and in compliance of Section 11EEEE (3) of ATA.
