Some 60 students caught using unfair means in Matric exams

HYDERABAD: About 60 students appearing in Matric exam were caught in cheating, when 25 Vigilance Teams of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad paid surprise visits to various districts in the province.

Out of the total cases, 56 were copy cases while four were of impersonating another candidate, said a statement released by BISE on Friday.

The surprise visits were paid to Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Matiari, Thatta, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and Sajawal, it further said.

Besides vigilance teams, Chairman BISE Hyderabad, Professor Muhammad Daud Memon paid a surprise visit to different centres at Thatta and Makli.

On the occasion, he told media that all efforts were being made to eliminate copy culture which was causing damage to their future.

Aside from this, the teams were performing their duties where they were making all possible efforts to end the cheating from the centres.

However, the mobile phones and other cheating material were recovered from various students appearing in the exams of Matric and necessary action was also taken against them.
