Imran's long absence from national assembly cause immense loss to KP: Muqam

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Prime Minister Engr Amir Muqam Friday criticized Pakistan Tahrik e Insaf Chief Imran Khan for his long absence from the National Assembly and termed it a great loss to the interests of people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

Addressing a luncheon function hosted by PML-N worker Pir Zulfiqar Ali Shah in his honour at Akora Khattak in Nowshera district, the PML-N leader said people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa wanted to know from Imran Khan and PTI lawmakers to the great losses incurred to the province and peoples' interest due to their about nine month long absence from the national assembly.

He said the people and country's did not want that political leaderships, which believed in politics of u-turns and hallow slogans.

He said Pakistan Muslim League-N was the only party introduced tolerance, reconciliation, sincere service to masses and principles in politics.

He said PML-N could have formed the Government in Khyber Pakthunkhwa after 2013 elections results but allowed PTI being a majority party to form its own Government to fulfill its election promises made with electorates.

However, he said people have seen no significant change in Khyber Pakthunkhwa during last 18 months, adding masses would reject politics of agitation and so called 'Change' in the upcoming local bodies elections.

Muqam said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest in the development of Khyber Pakthunkhwa referring to starting of construction work on Hazara Motorway, students fee reimbursement, PM's youth loan and Laptop schemes etc, adding PML-N would make a progressive, prosperous and developed Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

The Advisor said politics of PML-N revolved around masses and will serve people irrespective of political affiliations.

He said directives have been issued to all the Federal Govt's departments heads not to create hurdles in genuine works of masses, workers and complete all the ongoing projects in time, adding delay, negligence and irregularities in development projects would not be accepted.

Muqam said he was proud over the soil of Akara Khatak that had produced great personalities like reknown Pashto poet Khushal Khan Khattak, great religious scholar and politician Maulana Abdul Haq and politician and pashto poet Ajmal Khattak. He assured to work for establishment of passport office at Nowshera and NADRA office at Jehangara Nowshera.

On this occasion, the workers and leaders of PMLN reposed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Engr Amir Muqam and assured full support.
