Muslim Ummah to defend Saudi Arabia unitedly: Ashrafi

LAHORE: Pakistan Ulema Council central chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that the Muslim Ummah will unitedly defend Harmain Shareefain and Saudi Arabia in case of any threat.

Addressing Juma congregation at Jamia Masjid Khulafa e Rashidin, Johor Town here Friday, he urged the government to ensure an all-out cooperation for solidarity and stability of Saudi Arabia.

He said that Houthi rebellions had made hostage of legal government of Yemen, adding that Pakistan should not become a part of any sectarian war but the Pak Army should be sent to protect political borders of Saudi Arabia if it was in danger.

Ashrafi said that Saudi nation always supported Pakistan in difficult times so the people of the country would never let KSA be alone in their difficult times.

He warned the supporting countries of Houthi rebellions of Yemen and asked them to avoid shattering peace of Middle East, as it would also damage peace of the world.

He demanded that a meeting of the OIC on the situation of Yemen and KSA through which the freedom of the hostage government of Yemen from the Houthi rebellion should be made possible.

Ashrafi said the stance of the country over the situation was true representation of the nation and the government should clear the world that offense of any kind against Saudi Arabia would never be accepted.

He said the PUC would also call a meeting of all political and religious parties on the situation of the Arab states and a comprehensive strategy would be formed after consultation.
