Marvi resolves to solve GB issues

ASTORE: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Marvi Memon on Thursday said that uplift of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) was top priority of the incumbent government.

During her visit to district Astore here, she reiterated resolve the present government was committed to solve the problems and challenges faced by the masses at their door steps.

She said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed special initiatives for development of Gilgit-Baltistan adding that he (Prime Minister) would announce a package for the area during his visit.

Chairperson BISP ensured the beneficiaries of the program that their payments would be released within a month and assured that payments would be made through transparent manner.

She was briefed by the district administration on the occassion.

Assistant Director BISP, Abdul Maqeem told that about 2200 deserving denizens were being paid through this program and added that National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) could not trace the data of 700 people as a result their payments were blocked.

On this occasion, the president Astore PML-N Farman Ali, and other office bearers of PML-N were present.
