Tribunal completes inspection of 8 polling stations of NA-125

LAHORE: The Election Tribunal, Faisalabad comprising Javed Rashid Mehboobi Thursday completed inspection of eight, out of ten, selected polling stations of NA-125 constituency.

The tribunal inspected record of polling stations including 98, 112, 191, 193 and 194 in presence of representatives of both parties today.

It is pertinent to mention that the tribunal had already inspected record of three polling stations including 30, 32 and 46 on March 18.

The tribunal adjourning the proceeding directed returning officer and other concerned to submit record of polling stations 195 and 120.

The tribunal decided to inspect 10 polling stations of NA-125 constituency on an election petition filed by PTI Runner-up candidate Hamid Khan challenging the election of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique from the constituency.

It decided to inspect polling records of ten polling stations of NA-125 while dismissing applications for verification of voters' thumb impressions from NADRA as well as for appointment of another local commission on March 10 by PTI's Hamid Khan and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique respectively.

The tribunal asked both parties to suggest five polling stations each of their choice for inspection but the parties failed to comply with directions. At this, the tribunal decided to inspect polling record of ten polling stations of his choice.
