Polio drive in sensitive UCs launched

LAHORE: City District Government Lahore (CDGL) Monday launched three days anti polio drive in 74 union councils (UCs) of the provincial capital.

DCO Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman kicked off the drive from UC 80 Lower Mall and administered polio drops to the children.

While talking to the people there,he said that during the campaign 1,570,031 children under the five years would be administered polio drops. He added that special drive is being initiated in sensitive UCs of Gulberg Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Samanabad Town, Ravi Town and Data Gunj Bukhsh Town.

DCO said that 4140 teams under the supervision of Town Administrators have been formed to administer polio drops in sensitive areas.

He urged the parents to cooperate with the anti polio teams and get administered drops to their children.
