BOJ's Kuroda: won't conduct policy in response to oil prices

27 Feb, 2015

TOKYO: Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Friday he will not conduct monetary policy in response to moves in oil prices but will focus on how oil price moves impact inflation expectations.

Kuroda said the BOJ's 2 percent inflation target is likely to be achieved around fiscal 2015, assuming a moderate increase in oil prices from current levels.
