Zaeem for unanimous legislation against horse-trading

ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Zaeem Qadri Thursday stressed upon the need of unanimous passage of the constitutional amendment to stop horse-trading in order to further strengthen democracy.

Talking to a news channel, he said the legislation having support of all the parliamentary parties bear more trust of the public.

Qadri said it was the responsibility of all political parties to discourage the practice of horse-trading in election, adding, PML-N had always remained in favor of discouraging this practice.

The proposed constitutional amendment in this regard was supported by all the political parties, he added.

Regarding formation of judicial commission to probe the rigging allegation of PTI, Zaeem said the matter was heading towards resolution.

He said that the government was always ready to form the judicial commission under the constitutional umbrella.
