Commissioner reviews arrangements for Expo Pakistan

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqi has asked the officials of civic agencies to ensure cleanliness and beautification work for Expo Pakistan-2015.

This he said while presiding over a meeting here on Thursday to review arrangements for the Expo Pakistan, being organized by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) here at Expo Centre from February 26 to March 1.

It was decided that foolproof security would be arranged by the concerned organizations as the government attaches high importance to the event.

It was decided that District Municipal Corporation, East would make the roads clean and green from airport to Expo centre and the other routs of the delegates.

All important government, private and trade organizations would display welcome banners at the roads from airport to the venue of the exhibition.

Additional Commissioner Karachi-II Haji Ahmed was nominated as focal person in connection with the arrangements and facilities to the organizers.

It was also decided that a control room with phone No. 02199203443 would be established to receive calls seeking help from the Commissioner Office while District Administration, Central would also establish a camp at the Expo Centre for providing immediate help and strengthening co-ordination for better arrangements.

The meeting was attended among others by the officers of TDAP, Police, Rangers and city administration.
