Cross section of people condemn Shikarpur blast incident

SUKKUR: Political, religious leaders and people from all walks of life Saturday strongly condemned the cowardly blast on Markazi Imam Bargah Karbala Maula, Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur in which 60 precious human lives were lost.

They expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the blast. They also expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families. They also reiterated that such cowardly attacks cannot deter the resolve and morale of Pakistani nation.

The death toll increased to 60 on Saturday, said DC Shikarpur.

In addition to the compensation announced by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah separately for the heirs of the deceased and those injured, the Provincial Secretary, Ushr and Zakat announced Rs 6 million for the treatment of the injured and a compensation for the heirs of the deceased. The deceased were identified as Ghulam Murtaza Shah, Zaawar Shah, Imdad Channo, Shabbir Manghanhar, Sohail Shaikh, Irshad Shaikh, Mureed Ali, Khadim Channa, Waheed Ali, Ali Gohar Shah, Sabir Shah, Irshad Bablani, Azad Bablani, Dr Javed Shah, Khadim Napar, Sohail Memon, Muhammad Usman Shaikh, Ali Gul Hajano, Pir Bux Mangi, Khair Muhammad Jaffrani, Ihsan Shah, Muhammad Pervaiz, Muhammad Soomro, child Aashn, Noor Ahmad, Atta Shah, Qamar Abbas, Babar Ali, Maqbool Shah, Adil, Aziz Ahmed, Sono Shaikh, Abid Soomro.

PPP MNA Syeda Nafeesa Shah strongly condemned the blast and prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to members of the bereaved families to bear this loss with patience.

Senator Islamuddin Shaikh, MNA Noman Islam Shaikh, MNA Dr. Mahreen Bhutto, former federal minister for Defence, Aftab Shahban Mirani, Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durani, Imtiaz Shaikh, former Speaker NA Illahi Bux Soomro, former provincial Minister Iftikhar Soomro have strongly condemned the blast incident at the mosque in which precious human lives were lost.
