Sindh Governor, CM & Edu. Minister to attend KU's 25th convocation

KARACHI: Karachi University will hold its 25th convocation on Saturday with Sindh Governor and Chancellor of the university to chair the ceremony being held at Valika Ground.

The program will also be attended by Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Education Minister, Nisar Ahmad Khuhro besides other dignitaries.

KU convocation first held in 1962, continued to be held on regular basis, every year till 1967, however, could not maintain its regularity owing to varied reasons.

It is for the first time that convocation is being held at a new venue due to exceeding numbers of graduates.

Meanwhile KU administration have advised the graduates and post graduates not to carry cell phones, large sized bags or shopping bags with them.

Those to receive medals during the ceremony are asked to bring along their original NICs as well as the copies so as to avoid any inconvenience.
