OFI hit with four-point deduction

ATHENS: Greek club OFI Crete have been stripped another four points due to unpaid wages to former Spanish midfielders Jorge Lopez and Jordi Lopez, the Greek Super League said on Thursday.

Two weeks ago six points were deducted after the club failed to pay former Serbian player Aleksander Pesic, now with Toulouse in France.

Pursued by multiple debtors, OFI have now just 10 points and are destined to be relegated as they sit 17th in the 18-team league.

OFI manager Gennaro Gattuso quit at the end of last year, with the Italian saying the constant discovery of debts old and new made it impossible to continue.
