KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has ordered strict disciplinary action against officials found absent from their seats during his surprise visit to Sindh Secretariat on Tuesday.

Expressing his strong resentment against the officials' indifference towards their professional obligation, Qaim Ali Shah said this attitude was the major factor responsible for delay in completion of work.

He regretted that concerned officials seemed to have absolutely no consideration towards plight of citizens reaching the secretariat from far flung areas and trying to get their problems solved and grievances redressed.

This approach of the officials was responsible for bringing bad name to the government besides the fact that citizens are made to suffer in terms of loss of time as well as finances.

Syed Qaim Ali asking the Services and General Administration Department to take action against all those failing their responsibilities directed all the provincial government officials to observe office timings strictly and ensure optimum services to the citizens.
