Five held in abduction, killing of minor boy case

MULTAN: Multan police have arrested five outlaws involved in abduction and killing of a minor boy here Monday. According to police, a minor boy Abdullah (7) son of widow Rehana Begum of Shah Rukan-e-Alam was abducted by some unknown outlaws on January 18. Later, the accused demand of ransom money Rs 10 million from the heirs for release of the kid.

Shah Rukan-e-Alam police registered the case No 52/15 on January 21 and started tracing the case.

CPO Multan Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry constituted a special police team supervised by SP Gulgasht Asif Ahmed Baghiyo and led by DSP New Multan Maqbool Ahmed to arrest the criminals. Using the latest technology, police team arrested the five accused named as Hassan Javed, Mudasira Noreen, Niaz, Saleem and Naseem Akhtar.

The accused confessed that they had abducted the kid for ransom and later killed him.

However, police have recovered the body from the limits of Kuhna police after getting information from the arrested accused.

Further investigations were underway, police said.
