Anti measles vaccination drive commenced

ATTOCK: Anti measles vaccination drive started on Monday in which as many as 475,570 children aged between 6 months to 10 years would be administered anti measle vaccine during 12 days long campaign across the district.

This was stated by District Officer (DO) Health Attock Dr Malik Ibadat Khan while presiding over a meeting here at district complex. He said that the children of all six tehsils included Attock, Jand, Pindigheb, Fatehjang, Hasanabdal and Hazro would be administered the vaccine.

He said that the campaign will be supervised by 76 medical officers while anti measle vaccine will be administered to the children at their door steps, in schools, bus stops, railway stations and other public points for which 178 out reach teams and 84 fixed point teams have been constituted.

Dr Ibadat while briefing the media said that more than 800 personnel of health department have been deputed to make this campaign successful.

He also requested the parents to cooperate with the anti measles vaccination teams to get rid of their children from the attack of the deadly disease.
