Plan to establish Blood Bank & Research Centre in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The Punjab Government has decided to establish a state-of-the-art regional Blood Bank and Research Centre in the city.

A spokesman of the government told here on Sunday that the centre will be established in collaboration with German government and for this purpose 3 Kanal land has been designated near Arshad Centre Plaza adjacent to Mian Muhammad Trust Hospital.

He said the centre would store blood for months and it would be responsible to supply blood to the government run hospitals of the region.

A team of German experts has also reached in Pakistan to review the blood centre project and its site whereas physical work on the construction of the centre will soon be started, spokesman added.
