Kamran, Sami's tons ends SNGPL winning run in Presidents Gold Cup

KARACHI: Pakistan discard Kamran Akmal hammered an awesome century to lead National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to 70-run victory over Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) in President?s Gold Cup One-Day Cricket Tournament at NBP Sports Complex Ground on Sunday.

Aggressive Kamran cracked 16 boundaries and four sixes in his 137 in mere 87 balls and Sami Aslam made 114 in 124 balls with ten fours and brace of sixes as NBP piled a mammoth 356 for the loss of three wickets in 50 overs.

SNGPL in response could manage 286 for the seven wickets in their 50 overs. Consistent Muhammad Rizwan top-scored with 76 in 75 balls with four fours and six and Azhar Ali hit five fours and one six in his 57 off 41 balls.
