Cell set up to gather info about occupation of educational institutions

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan has announced to set up a special cell to receive information about the occupation of educational institution.

The Governor made the announcement while talking to the journalist in an informal meeting with him here on Friday.

He said that the government is going to start a project for increasing the literacy rate in the province.

He said for this purpose the students the universities of Sindh will be given a task to impart basic education to five illiterate persons who may become able at least to read and understand the content of a newspaper.

Without the provision of education to the nation, we can not be rid of the mindset of extremism, the Governor added.

He said that for the promotion of education people of all fields of life including the journalist will have to fulfill their responsibility.

Governor Sindh called for working collectively for the elimination of corruption and called for providing information which may prove helpful identifying the elements who involve in corruption.

Governor Sindh said that a special cell is being set up under the CPLC which will recommend action against the occupation of schools and colleges' land.
